Aditi Rao Hydari

Not many would be aware that Aditi Rao Hydari’s journey into the world of entertainment began as a Bharatanatyam dancer, at the tender age of 11. It was her association with the renowned dancer Leela Samson that ignited her passion for this ancient art. As a member of Samson's esteemed dance troupe, ‘Spanda’, Aditi honed her skills and mesmerized audiences with her performances on prestigious stages. Since then dance has been an integral part of Aditi’s life. Even as she transitioned into acting, several of her roles required her to portray her dancing skills, such as in the Marathi period drama ‘Rama Madhav’.

However, Aditi shot to fame after her noteworthy performances in ‘Delhi 6’ (2009) and ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi’ (2011). 

Aditi later starred in ‘Murder 3’ (2013), ‘Boss’ (2013), and ‘Wazir’ (2016), followed by ‘Padmaavat’ (2018), which became her biggest commercial success, as she made waves with her performance as ‘Queen Mehrunisa’ opposite Ranveer Singh. She made her Malayalam film debut with ‘Prajapathi’.

She went on to have supporting roles in several Bollywood movies including the musical drama ‘Rockstar’, ‘Murder 3’, and the period film ‘Padmaavat’. 

Hydari starred alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar in Bejoy Nambiar's crime thriller film ‘Wazir’ and garnered praise for her performance. 

She made her Tamil film debut with Mani Ratnam's ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ for which she won the ‘SIIMA Award’ for ‘Best Debut Actress - Tamil’.

In 2021, Aditi Rao Hydari appeared in the suspense film ‘The Girl On The Train’, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.

While she has endorsed a variety of brands ranging from beauty, fashion, F&B, social platforms, and more after her brand value started to grow. The brands she partners with range from global to regional such as the cosmetics brand L'Oréal Paris, a brand with a global presence and GRT Jewellers. 

Aditi Rao Hydari's role in‘Jubilee’ was a superhit and the actress has been receiving accolades for her role as Sumitra.
